Living in
Asheville's Big Bald Highlands
Most of the resorts in our high
mountain region are within commuting distance to Asheville, NC and the
Tri-Cities of East Tennessee. Instead of a daily commute fighting
traffic, lights, congestion, imagine a quiet interstate highway drive
with little traffic and long range views as you travel down from almost
5,000 feet in elevation to the mountain valleys at nearly 2,000 feet.
Wolf Laurel Resort with nearly 5,000 acres
has long been the second home living and vacation choice for the region.
First developed in the 1960's, they now face healthy competition from
their own Preserve at Wolf Laurel, the highly acclaimed new area
under development. Other resorts in the area further expand the
range of real estate opportunities ranging from mountain top living, to
river front and everything in between depending on your mountain dream.
Homes, cabins, condos and townhomes are available with long distance
views, mountain streams, golf course and ski resort access. Your
preferred view, climate and high mountain activities or relaxation can
be obtained here in the Big Bald Highlands area of North Carolina
located minutes away from Asheville.
